Spectrum Regenerative's founding science spans more than a decade of published research into the molecular regulators that drive liver injury, shape its capacity to repair, and determine whether it regenerates or fails.
Validated in human tissue and reported in leading hepatology journals, that work identified a set of high-leverage targets — druggable points in the liver’s own biology where a single intervention can shift the course of disease.
Science built around the master
regulators of tissue regeneration
Our research focuses on the biological systems that govern how tissues respond to injury and repair themselves — with the liver as our first and deepest focus. We target these systems with small molecules, siRNA, and antibodies.
pillar 01
The mechanisms of injury
and fibrosis
The inflammatory, oxidative, and matrix-remodeling pathways that drive acute damage, scarring, and the progression from chronic disease to organ failure. Spectrum is targeting these pathways to halt the cascade at its root.
pillar 02
The biology of regeneration
The cellular and epigenetic programs that control how hepatocytes proliferate and how the liver rebuilds itself. By modulating these pathways, Spectrum is reversing damage and — in the oncology setting — converting unresectable cancers into operable ones.
pillar 03
Longevity
The inflammatory, oxidative, and matrix-remodeling pathways that drive acute damage, scarring, and the progression from chronic disease to organ failure. Spectrum is targeting these pathways to halt the cascade at its root.
A translational engine built for conviction.
Discovery runs through the Argentine labs where the foundational science of our regenerative programs was shaped, supported by top-tier facilities, the university hospital, and over two decades of translational drug-discovery expertise. Once de-risked in vivo, therapeutic candidates advance through specialized partners for IND-enabling work and into US clinical trials under the FDA pathway.
Ex Vivo Platform
Better medicines will reduce the need for transplants. They will not eliminate it.
Our therapeutic pipeline keeps patients off the transplant list. Our ex vivo platform brings more livers to the patients still on it. We rescue marginal donor organs and grow partial livers to transplantable size — expanding the supply of livers that can save lives.
